Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Effective July 8, 2026

1. What BlockRight Is (and Is Not)

BlockRight is an independent proof, commerce, contracts, licensing, evidence-vault, and marketplace platform. It helps you organize evidence around your creative and commercial works: file hashes, timestamps, contracts, ownership claims, licensing records, and distribution history.

BlockRight is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. BlockRight records do not replace official copyright registration, trademark registration, patent filing, or the advice of a licensed attorney. A BlockRight proof record is evidence you assemble — its legal weight in any dispute is determined by courts and applicable law, not by us.

2. Your Account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use BlockRight.

3. Your Content and Evidence

You retain all rights to the works, files, and records you upload. By uploading, you grant BlockRight a limited license to store, process, hash, and display your content solely to operate the service — including generating proof certificates and, where you choose, public proof pages or marketplace listings.

You are solely responsible for what you upload. You represent that you have the rights necessary to upload it and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. Uploading false or fraudulent evidence, or claiming ownership of works you do not own, is a violation of these terms and may be unlawful.

4. Proof Records and Anchoring

Proof records document the existence and state of a file at a point in time via cryptographic hashes and timestamps. Where blockchain anchoring is offered and purchased, anchoring commits a hash to a public blockchain on the schedule and tier you select. Anchoring fees cover the recording service and network costs and are non-refundable once an anchor has been committed.

5. Marketplace and Verified Messaging

Marketplace listings, inquiries, deal rooms, and contracts are tools that connect rights owners with interested parties. BlockRight is not a party to any agreement you reach through the platform, does not guarantee any transaction, and does not vouch for any user beyond the verification level displayed. Perform your own diligence before entering any agreement.

6. Fees and Payments

Paid plans, anchoring add-ons, and facilitation fees are disclosed at checkout before you pay. Payments are processed by our payment provider; BlockRight does not store your full card details. Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or fraudulent;
  • misrepresent ownership, authorship, or verification status;
  • interfere with or attempt to breach the security of the service;
  • use the service to harass, defraud, or harm others;
  • scrape, resell, or white-label the service without written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Where feasible and lawful, we will give you an opportunity to export your records first.

8. Service Availability

We work to keep BlockRight available and your records intact, but the service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. You should retain your own copies of original files — BlockRight stores evidence about your works; it is not your only backup.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlockRight and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. Records already anchored to a public blockchain cannot be un-anchored. On account closure we will delete or anonymize your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy, except where retention is required by law or needed to preserve the integrity of proof records referenced by other users' transactions.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be versioned, dated, and presented for your consent on your next sign-in. Continued use after consenting to a new version constitutes acceptance of that version.
